Enrol in MICT SETA Training Programme: Your Gateway to a Successful ICT Career

In the heart of Mpumalanga, a new opportunity is unfolding for young people passionate about technology. Trailblazer Digital Hub NPC, in partnership with MICT SETA Training Programme, is bringing a life-changing skills programme to eMalahleni. The initiative is designed to equip 20 unemployed youth with practical training in cellphone and laptop repairs — at no cost to them.
Turning Potential into Possibility: A Community-Driven Mission
This programme is more than just a course — it’s a step toward sustainable change. With the support of MICT SETA and in collaboration with Nkangala TVET College – Witbank Campus, Trailblazer Digital Hub is taking a bold step to address both unemployment and the growing demand for tech repair services.
Many young South Africans face limited access to skills training that leads to viable careers. Recognising this challenge, Trailblazer Digital Hub aims to bridge the gap between untapped potential and real-world employment. The programme empowers young people not only with hands-on skills, but with the confidence to step into the job market — or even start their own businesses.
What the Training Covers: Skills that Matter in a Digital World
Participants will receive comprehensive, short-skills training in:
- Cellphone diagnostics and repairs
- Laptop troubleshooting and component replacement
- Basic electronic tools usage
- Safety procedures in tech repair environments
The training includes both theoretical and practical modules, ensuring participants gain the knowledge and experience needed to repair real devices — preparing them for entry-level employment or entrepreneurship in the repair industry.
Real-World Experience: Beyond the Classroom
What makes this programme stand out is its virtual job experience component. This allows participants to engage with simulated, real-world repair tasks. It’s an innovative way to boost their technical confidence and give them a sense of what it’s like to work in the tech support industry.
Through guided scenarios, learners will apply what they’ve learned in a structured, digital environment. This bridges the gap between training and employment, increasing their readiness for the workforce.
Who Should Apply: Passion Meets Purpose
Are you a tech-savvy youth between the ages of 18 and 35, currently unemployed, and living in or around the eMalahleni region? This opportunity could be your stepping stone into the digital economy. The programme is tailored for individuals who:
- Have a strong interest in technology
- Are eager to learn and grow
- Are committed to completing the full training duration
No previous experience in electronics or IT is required. All you need is a willingness to learn and the drive to build a future through tech skills.
