- Miner/Working Plans
- Section Plans
- Ventilation Plans (Regulation 17)
- Colliery Working Plans
- Escape Route and Travelling Road Plans
- Belt, Reticulation, Ground Conditions and Subsidence Plans
- Applying correct naming conventions, legends, scales, and symbols
- Converting spatial information into intelligent CAD/GIS datasets

2. Spatial Data Handling
Learners play a key role in collecting, consolidating, and maintaining spatial datasets. Duties include:
- Gathering information from Survey, Geology, Ventilation, and Planning teams
- Capturing and maintaining CAD levels and features such as:
- Mined-out areas
- Geological structures
- Ventilation structures
- Hazard zones
- Preparing data for posting to the Sasol Mining GIS Portal
- Assisting with CAD/GIS dataset clean-up
These tasks help learners understand how spatial data supports operational decision-making.
3. Safety Compliance and Risk Management
Mining environments require strong safety adherence. Learners will:
- Understand and support Regulation 17 requirements
- Follow Safety Management Systems (IMS, MBO)
- Conduct task risk assessments (TRA)
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow waste management procedures

4. Operational Support and Teamwork
